TFT color screen is a color liquid crystal display screen, the full name is Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display. It is a type of active matrix liquid crystal display, mainly used in high-end products. The main components of TFT color screen include fluorescent tubes, light guide plates, polarizing plates, filter plates, etc. Each liquid crystal pixel of this display screen is driven by a thin film transistor integrated behind it, so that high-speed, high-brightness and high-contrast display effects can be achieved. The display principle of TFT color screen is to control each independent pixel on the screen through thin film transistors. This so-called active matrix TFT liquid crystal screen technology has enabled the rapid development of color LCD flat panel displays.
The characteristics of TFT color screen include high response speed and precise control of display color levels, so it can display more realistic colors. Behind each pixel, there are four independent thin film transistors driving the pixel to emit color light, which can display true color with 24-bit color depth. In terms of resolution, the maximum resolution of TFT LCD screen can reach UXGA (1600×1200).
TFT color screen stands out among many flat panel displays due to its high display effect and wide application fields, and has become one of the mainstream products of new century display. It is not only widely used in display devices on laptops and desktops, but also commonly used in mid-to-high-end color screen mobile phones, providing excellent display effects.
