OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) is a display technology that uses organic materials to emit light directly when an electric current passes through it, rather than requiring a backlight like a traditional LCD screen.
This technology allows the screen to be thinner and lighter, providing better viewing angles and higher contrast. OLED screens do not require a liquid crystal layer, thus avoiding the viewing angle issues common in LCD display technology. In addition, OLED screens can achieve deeper blacks and a wider range of colors because each pixel can independently control whether to emit light, rather than displaying images through a backlight and color filters like LCD. These characteristics of OLED screens make them widely used in high-end TVs and smartphone displays.
